Using the Keychain with Synk
To avoid being asked for your password every time Synk tries to mount a networked volume, you should use the Keychain to store the password.
To store your password in the Keychain:
- Choose "Connect to server..." from the Go menu in the Finder.
- Enter the information for the server into the dialog box, and click "Connect."
- In the dialog box which asks for your password, click "Options..."
- Select the "Add Password to Keychain" checkbox.
- Finish connecting as usual.
- The first time Synk automatically mounts the drive, you may be asked by the Keychain whether to allow Synk to access the information. Click "Always allow."
Synk will now mount the networked volume silently as long as the Keychain is unlocked.
Search Mac OS X help for the keyword "Keychain" for more information on using the Keychain.
